Microneedling / Collagen Induction Therapy

Microneedling (aka Collagen Induction Therapy) is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure where a micro-needling device is gently passed across the skin create microchannels (micro-injuries) using sterile micro-needles. These small wounds prompt the body to make collagen and elastin as part of the healing process, resulting in smoother, firmer and more evenly toned skin.

Serums such as hyaluronic acid are applied not only as a benefit the skin but creates a comfortable 'slip' for the needles to pass across the treatment area.

Microneedling is effective in treating fine lines and wrinkles, large pores, minor scars, acne, blackheads, unwanted pigmentation patches, stretch marks (must still be red) and thinning / balding hair (requires some hair in/around the area of concern).

Whilst microneedling is safe, it is not recommended for people who have had recent radiation treatment, are pregnant or breast feeding, have a history of keloid scarring, are diabetic or have skin conditions such as, cystic acne, eczema or psoriasis.
Treatment may trigger cold sores if you are prone to outbreaks.

Microneedling is not a quick fix.
It will take time and several treatments to see the results.
Most people report a noticeable difference after 3 to 4 treatments.
Treatments are spaced 4 weeks apart.
4 - 6 treatments are recommended before maintenance begins.
